I am a bit of a wiggle-worm, so my mom says the most flattering photos of me are when I am asleep…

This ray of sunshine was appropriately named! Ray is defined by love, hugs and snuggles. If allowed, Ray will give you hugs every morning when you wake, before you leave for work, and every time you return home or before bed! He is a real charmer, and was meant to be a lap-dog!

Since Ray is extremely social, he has a hard time understanding that not everyone wants his company (but how could they not?!), so his foster mom is working on teaching him to be calm on walks (he barks for attention and gets excited when he sees living-beings to greet!).

Ideal home: With another well-balanced, social, and cuddly dog, as well as a family who is looking for a fun-loving pup to train and give endless love!

Breed: Hound mix
Colour: Mostly white with tan & black markings
Age: Approx. 1 year young!
Size: Medium/slender build, about 40-50 pounds
Sex: Male, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped
House trained: Yes — I benefit from routine, reminders & using my crate
Crate trained: Yes — I love my crate! Especially for naps after an exciting day of exploring. I also love to chew, so Kongs and other non-destructible toys to keep me busy in my crate & to ensure I chew on the appropriate things!
Loose-leash trained: I would benefit from continuous practice, as I am learning that I don’t need to pull. I get better each day!
Commands: I’m learning my commands — I’m a quick learner & very food motivated!
Dogs: Yes — Ideally my forever home will have a furry companion for me. I am not used to being without another dog, so it is very comforting for me to have a fur-brother or sister!
Cats: Yes — I currently live with 3 kitties,  I do well not bothering them most of the time, though I do sometimes think they are playing with me when they run and I’ll chase. I do not have a prey-drive and we live quite well together with few reminders from foster mom!
Children: Unknown — I am very people friendly, but I do jump-up and give hugs, and don’t forget I am still puppy-like!

Could you be the family I have been dreaming of?
