Luna

Everyone who has met Luna has fallen in love with her… & she is hoping that you will too!

Luna just can’t wait to love everyone! She a happy girl who greets you with tail wags and kisses. You could say that Luna gets a bit too excited to say “hi” but she settles… though she keeps demanding attention!

Luna has a similar reaction when she sees her furry friends outside — so her foster home is teaching her to be respectful of human and doggy space. She has a bouncy and playful character, so this is a work-in-progress!

Did we mention playful? Luna enjoys to be outside, to watch and see new things… but she also loves her treat-ball and Kong toy! Mental challenges are fun for Luna, as she is just learning to play and experience the joy of toys. When inside, her favourite place to be is her dog bed — but I also love the car!

Ideal home: A family who is active and can give Luna some good exercise before crating her when they go to work. She is very smart and loves to please, so a family who is looking to do a training class and continue to teach her new things would be amazing!

Breed: Husky mix
Colour: White, fawn and grey — my coat is beautiful, but have you seen my eyes?!
Age: Approx. 1-2 years old; a young gal!
Size: Medium, about 40-50 pounds
Sex: Female, spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped
House trained: My foster is taking me to the vet for a potential UTI, so at this time it is unknown and my foster uses my crate to prevent accidents. Though I am non-destructive, I can be a counter surfer!
Crate trained: I am working on loving my crate — the treats in there are delicious! I whine a bit at first but eventually settle in. I would be looking for a family who will continue this training with me. (I do prefer my dog bed in your room at night!)
Loose-leash trained: I do kind-of like to pull… a little… but I will heel on occasion. I also sometimes have off-leash potential… okay fine, fences only please!
Commands: I am one smart cookie! I know “sit” “lie down” “off” “come” & “look” (to show you my beautiful eyes of course!). My foster mom says it is important to tell everyone that I got the stubborn gene…
Dogs: I prefer not to live with other dogs since I don’t like to share my space, but I am generally playful with dogs I meet!
Cats: No; I would be the type to chase! I have a bit of a prey-drive, squirrels are also fun!
Children: I have a bad habit of jumping up to say “hello!” so smaller children may not be a good idea.

I am sooooo ready for my forever family… will you be the one?!
