Hi, I’m Janie! I’m a smart, sweet, and curious pup who’s just starting to figure out the big wide world. I love people who show me patience and affection. In return, I give close devotion and lots of love.
Like most puppies, I’ve got playful bursts of energy where I zoom, wrestle, and bark in excitement then I crash hard for a nap. I’m food-motivated (yum!) which makes training fun and easy, and I already know sit, come, yes, no, and even “go pee.” I still nip when I play, so I’ll do best with kids who understand puppy behavior and can help me keep learning good manners.
I’m working on my crate training and sleep well in there after a few minutes of protest. I wake up slowly and sweetly from naps, it takes me a few minutes to get going, but once I’m up, I’m so happy to see you! I also walk nicely on a leash and recommend using a harness so my skin stays comfortable.
I currently live with a cat (no problem!) and have done well around kids and other dogs. I love being included in family activities: walks, car rides, exploring the yard, and I thrive in a structured routine where I can play hard, nap hard, and keep learning.
My forever home will need to keep an eye on my skin, since I’ve had some itchy moments in the past. With ongoing care, training, and love, I’m going to grow into a loyal, gentle, and amazing companion.
