Hi, I’m Forest! I’m a very happy, cuddly boy, and I have a pretty adorable way of showing just how excited I am. When I’m trying my best to contain my excitement, I do little tappy taps with my feet. It’s basically my version of a happy dance! 🥰
I’m a sweet guy who really looks to my person for guidance, especially when I’m somewhere new. I’m eager to learn and already know how to sit, lie down and stay. I also know the word “no,” although I’m not sure why anyone would say that to me when I can simply respond with my very best sad puppy eyes.

Every now and then I get the zoomies, but mine are short and sweet. I’ll have my little burst of fun and then promptly decide I’m exhausted and ready for a rest. I’m not looking to run a marathon every day, but I do need regular outdoor time and would love a family who enjoys getting out and about with me.

I’m still learning about crate life. I’m comfortable in my crate during the daytime, but nighttime crating is still a work in progress. If I’m anxious or bored, I may chew things, so giving me reassurance, appropriate mental stimulation and things I’m allowed to chew will help me succeed. I’m also occasionally a little mouthy when I’m asking you to play or do something, but I’m gentle and it’s never hard.
Getting into the car can make me a little shy, but once I’m in, I’m a perfect passenger.
On walks, I’m usually pretty sensible. If I see another dog, a bike or a jogger, I’ll often stop and observe. I may tug a little if I’m interested, but I’m not particularly powerful unless I’ve already gotten myself worked up. Squirrels are definitely worth noticing, though! Thankfully, I’m pretty responsive when my person calls my name, and I can come back from a squirrel chase with a quick reminder.
I’m happy in a house or an apartment, as long as I get enough outdoor time. I’m a really nice house dog and would be happy with one person, a small family or potentially another dog who could help show me the ropes. I’m a boy who likes having someone to look to for guidance, so a confident canine companion could be a nice bonus.
I’m still learning and growing, but I’m such a willing student. I want to do well, I love being close to my people and I’m happiest when I know what’s expected of me. With some continued training, patience and plenty of cuddles, I’m ready to become an amazing companion.
If you’re looking for a happy, affectionate boy with a goofy little happy dance, a love of sniffy walks and an impressive ability to deploy sad puppy eyes on command, I think we should meet. ❤️
