Hi, I’m Alaska! A sweet senior girl with a gentle heart, excellent manners, and a world-class husky howl.
When you come home, I’ll be there to greet you. I’m always happy to see my people, but I’m not the type to bounce off the walls. I’m more of a quiet, polite lady who simply loves being near the people she trusts.

At this stage in life, I prefer a slower pace. My energy level is low, and I’m happiest with a few short walks throughout the day followed by lots of time relaxing at home. I walk beautifully on leash that sometimes you might forget I’m even attached to one. I’m happy to stroll beside you and enjoy the fresh air at my own pace.
I’m a bit shy when meeting new people, but once I settle in, you’ll discover what a sweetheart I am. I’m very polite, very undemanding, and easy to live with. My favourite things are simple: spending time with my humans, enjoying a comfy place to rest, and being included in daily life.
Now, I do have a couple of strong opinions. First, brushing is absolutely not my favourite activity. If you appear with a brush, I may suddenly remember somewhere else I need to be. The same goes for liquid medication. Second, I love my people very much — so much that being left alone is hard for me. I do have some separation anxiety, I feel safest when my family is home most of the time. Third, I’m a gal who likes to eat my meals in peace! My stance is simple: “What’s in my bowl is my business!” I’m happiest when I can enjoy meals in my own space, so my future family should be comfortable giving her this space during mealtimes.
Because of some hip and front leg issues, I’m not looking for a home full of stairs, long hikes, or intense adventures. What I would love is a quiet home where I can enjoy my golden years surrounded by love, patience, and companionship.
My perfect home would be calm and peaceful, with people who are around most of the day and appreciate the company of a sweet senior dog. I don’t ask for much, just a soft place to rest, a few short walks, and people who understand that after 11 years, what I want most is simply to be close to the ones I love.
If you’re looking for a gentle, loyal companion who still has plenty of love left to give, I think we might be exactly what each other needs. 🐾💜
