Meet Ben!
Ben is a very happy and curious dog. He is constantly exploring our house and backyard, and, like most puppies, has a strong interest in going places he’s not supposed to. Ben does whine a lot, and will whine even when he’s just walking around. He rarely barks unless he sees a cat. Ben is his foster’s shadow and is very interested in what they’re up to and will follow them around for hours.
Ben is interested in the foster’s dog and often tries to initiate playing with him (though this is usually declined haha). He would love another friendly playmate. He has only gotten zoomies when in the backyard and has had no accidents inside since being in the foster’s home.
Ben likes to participate in any and all affection and will interrupt his fosters if they are hugging or giving the other dog attention, but in a friendly way.
He will jump up when greeting his fosters when he’s first released from his crate, but doesn’t typically jump up otherwise (e.g., doesn’t jump at people we meet on walks). He’s still a bit shy meeting new people or in new environments, but he warms up quickly. He has recently learned how to go up and down stairs and is still working to master this skill.
Ben is high energy in the morning. He goes for a 20 minute walk before work and he usually spends the morning running around the house looking to play. He goes for a 30 minute walk at lunch, after which point he usually settles for the afternoon. Ben gets occasional zoomies and loves running around the backyard. His is still learning to play with toys and is currently afraid of those that squeak.
Ben is in a crate while his fosters are out and he’s very excited to see them when they return. He greets us enthusiastically, jumping up, making whining noises, and asks for belly rubs.
