Meet Bosko!

Bosko is a sweet, resilient Shepherd mix with a heart as big as his journey. Found abandoned on the streets of Albania, he spent nearly two years waiting in a shelter before finally making the trip to Canada this February in search of a better life.

Despite his past, Bosko hasn’t lost his love for people. Everyone he meets is a friend, and he happily greets men, women, and children with warm enthusiasm. He loves being close to his humans and will gently paw at you if you stop petting him — his polite way of asking for more affection.

Bosko is social and playful with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a friendly canine companion. On walks he can get excited when he sees other dogs, so his future family should be willing to continue working on his leash manners.

At around 40 pounds, Bosko is the perfect medium-sized companion with a moderate energy level. He enjoys time in the yard and exploring on walks but is just as happy relaxing at home with his people. He’s very smart, eager to please, and loves learning new things.

Bosko is both house-trained and crate-trained, and his crate has become his safe place to rest and relax.

Bosko has come a long way and is ready for a family who will continue giving him the love, patience, and structure he deserves. In return, he’ll offer unwavering loyalty, affection, and companionship.
