🐾Breed: Corgi (as with all rescues, a mix is possible)

🕰️Age: 6 years old

🔋Energy level: Low – medium

⚖️Size: Small

🏥Medical:

• Came to us with severe hip dysplasia in both hips. Had two surgeries, laser therapy, and physiotherapy.

• Adopter must be committed to a pain management plan if necessary as Butter has developed early arthritis due to her hip issues.

• Currently recovering from hip surgery #2, will not be adopted out until recovery is complete. Once better, Butter will need to have water treadmill sessions, laser therapy, and various physiotherapy exercises to help her rebuild muscle (all included in her adoption fee). To ensure consistency and quality of care, the sessions must be done at one of our clinics – no exceptions. Her adopter must be committed to completing all of these and maintaining regular contact with the rescue until completion. Further details will be discussed with suitable applicants.

• Up-to-date on vaccines.

• Will need to be spayed in approximately 3 months. Paid for by the rescue.

✅Calm/respectful dogs, calm kids, dog savvy cats. For her living environment, Butter would love all of the attention. Being the only pet would be great.

💰Adoption Fee: $750 (includes vet check, basic vaccines, 2 surgeries to fix hip dysplasia, physiotherapy sessions, and spay)

Meet Butter! This lovely girl comes to us after being used for breeding in a puppy mill. Found to be suffering from severe hip dysplasia in both hips when examined by our vet, Butter has unfortunately been through quite a lot. That hasn’t affected her love for humans, though. She’s an instant friend to most and loves affection on her terms. She’ll ask for belly rubs (lots of them) when she gets to know you.

Butter is a low to medium energy gal and enjoys walks around the neighbourhood when she’s feeling good. She also loves to stop and make friends with anyone walking by. She should live in a home with very minimal stairs. She does like to play with toys, chew and is highly food motivated. A comfortable bed and a crate is a must. Butter’s crate is her safe space and she sleeps in there overnight.

Butter does well with other calm dogs and has been great around calm kids and babies. A calm and consistent household is key for her living environment.
