Meet Dusty!
Recently rescued from Manitoba during the wildfires, this affectionate, bright, and resilient pup is now ready to start accepting applications for his forever family
Dusty is an enthusiastic learner: incredibly smart, eager to please, and highly motivated. He adores his humans and loves exploring the world with them. Whether it’s a walk, an adventure, or playtime, Dusty is always excited to join in!
This sweet boy is playful, loving, and already working hard on building confidence. He’s working on separation anxiety training and benefits from continued crate routine to help him feel secure. He currently sleeps in his crate at night, usually with the door open, and settles wonderfully at night.
Dusty can be a fast eater, so he does best with a slow-feeding mat or similar tool. As he learns that he never has to worry about missing a meal again, this habit may ease. He also enjoys having his meals split into three smaller servings throughout the day.
House training is going very well. He’s a quick learner and loves picking up new things!
Like all puppies, Dusty is curious and occasionally picks up items like clothes or blankets. Gentle redirection to his toys works perfectly. He may bark in new situations, so a quieter home rather than an apartment setting will be the best match for him.
Dusty currently lives with two small dogs in his foster home. He would thrive with a playful dog who can match his energy or with a family ready to guide him in learning appropriate boundaries. He’s interested in cats and will need positive training to help him understand how to interact respectfully.
