Hi, I’m Finnigan! I’m a loyal, cuddly, slightly needy guy who wants nothing more than to be by your side. When you leave, I’ll look sad but when you come home, my whole body wiggles with tail wags because I’m just so happy you’re back. Because I can be a bit of a needy guy, I love being close to my human and would love a home where my human is home more often than not. I tend to bark when my foster mom leaves the house, so apartment living might not be the best option for me.
At home, I’m a perfect work-from-home buddy: I’ll nap nearby while you’re busy, then leap up with joy the moment you’re ready for playtime or a walk. I love walks (four a day is the dream!), and I’m great on leash. I do snore pretty loudly, though so be ready for some background sound effects during movie nights!
I’m not a fan of cats (I’ll chase them), and small kids aren’t for me either. I do best in a calm, quiet home with adults who understand that I like lots of attention and reassurance. I am non destructive when left alone, however I’m working on being more confident when left alone, but I really thrive when I can be close to my people most of the time.
I come with a couple of medical needs: I have hypothyroidism, and a sensitive tummy, but with the right care (and my favorite foods: pumpkin purée, chicken, cucumbers, blueberries!). I’m healthy and happy. I am also on a weight loss journey and adopters will need to keep up with this to maintain my best self and health!
My perfect home? Someone loving and patient who doesn’t mind my clingy side, enjoys giving belly rubs and pats, and is looking for a sweet, affectionate shadow. If that sounds like you, I think we’d make the perfect match.
