Hi, my name is Finnette, but my friends call me Finny!
My foster mom says I have the best energy level. Outside, I’m up for anything, whether we’re just going for a walk, playing a game of fetch, or hiking in the forest. I’m also a great running partner! Once I’m back inside, just flip my off switch, and I’m perfectly happy snoozing on my bed or snuggling up with my person on the couch. I’m a great little spoon, with zero concept of personal space. Occasionally I’ll ask if you’re up for a bit of wrestling by making my grunty gremlin noises, and if you laugh, I know it’s game on! If you aren’t in the mood, got it. Let’s just snuggle instead.
If you absolutely must go out and leave me (and frankly why would you), I’m really good at being alone. I’m not a huge fan of my crate, but no problemo, because I am a very good girl when left loose in the house. I usually just nap the day away, dreaming of the moment we’ll be reunited. And when you come home, I’ll greet you with a welcome home parade, complete with happy hippity hops, spins, and full body wiggle wags.
I’m a very happy girl, and I bring joy and enthusiasm to just about everything I do. When meeting new dogs, I tend to get pretty excited and bark, so I do best with slow introductions while I remind myself to “be cool, Finny, be cool!”. I’d love the chance to make more dog friends. I’m an enthusiastic learner too, and I love learning new tricks and commands.
