Meet Frosty! This recently retired sled dog is an easy going guy. He likes his walks but also loves to nap during the day. He will relax while his foster works from home.
Frosty lives with another dog & followed her lead when first in care. He is still figuring out how to play, both with dogs and with toys.
Frosty is very strong and hasn’t lost the sled dog urge to pull so walking tools such as a halti are helpful. Loose leash walking training would be beneficial. He does have high prey drive when he sees squirrels.
Frosty has done well when left home alone for a few hours but can vocalize so attached housing in a dog friendly area with understanding neighbours or detached housing is best.
On his walks, he does like to meet new people. While Frosty hasn’t been observed with small children, he is friendly with all humans that he meets and would be fine with older kids.
