Jayda is an incredibly sweet older lab. Described by her foster as a ‘pleasure to have in the house and as part of our ‘pack’, Jayda is ready for her forever home! She really enjoys being near her people and will sleep close by while her foster is working, but also appreciates her independence. She knows what she wants and sometimes needs coaxing to go outside or get up if she is really comfy.

Jayda will happily let you know when she wants extra cuddles or when she’s ready for another walk! She loves to hang out with her people, preferably lounging, sunbathing or keeping you company while you garden. Jayda gets along beautifully with the foster dogs in the home.

Jayda’s ideal day involves 2-4 leisurely walks. Don’t let her age fool you! Jayda loves to walk, sniff and explore. Her walks have helped her with shedding her weight. Her adopter must be committed to keeping Jayda on a healthy diet and maintaining her weight loss goals.

Jayda is good in the car but needs assistance getting in due to her weight. She also needs a home with minimal or no stairs. She can do 6 stairs comfortably but may need some guidance.
