Hi hi hi! I’m Kimmy, a fun-sized wiggle machine with a love for long walks, belly rubs, and all the attention you’re willing to give. I might only be about a year old, but I’ve already mastered the art of being adorable, just ask anyone who’s ever scratched my butt. (Pro tip: that’s the fastest way to my heart.)
I get super excited when you come home, but I’m polite. I’ll wait in my crate without barking until you let me out. I just love being around you and will soak up every second of attention I can get. But don’t worry, if you’ve got other things to do (like grab breakfast or go to work), I won’t beg. I’ll just curl up on something soft, like your hoodie or a blanket, and quietly snooze or watch the world from the window.
I walk like I’ve got places to be, which I do: sniff spots, squirrel patrol, and showing off my best trot! I walk with a harness (I’ve got a collapsed trachea but it’s no issue as long as I don’t put pressure on my neck), and my foster uses a waist leash to help keep up with me. I’m working on not pulling too much… I just get so excited to be outside! On that note, I do sometimes cough a little when I get too excited but it’s rare and manageable.
I don’t really care much for toys, but if you’ve got a squeaky Halloween pumpkin? Now that I’ll play with. Mostly, I just want pets, snuggles, and belly rubs, especially if you lie on the floor with me. I’ll join you right away, flopped on my back like a starfish.
I haven’t been up on furniture yet, but I’ve claimed my foster’s hoodie as my bed. I have excellent taste. I also sometimes hop up on my back legs when I’m curious or want your attention, it’s one of my signature moves.
What kind of home am I looking for? I’d love a family or home with multiple humans so there’s always someone around for a cuddle or a walk. A backyard isn’t necessary (I’m more of a power walker than a backyard zoomer), but access to green spaces or trails would be amazing. Just bring a water bottle, I walk fast and need a refresh! If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, active little buddy who’s full of love, has the best expressive ears, and will reward you with constant affection and goofy grins, I’m your girl.
