Meet Maisie!
Maisie is a gentle, soulful senior who has shown remarkable resilience. After undergoing surgery to repair a CCL tear, she worked hard through rehabilitation with her foster family and continues to gain strength and confidence. She’s proof that age doesn’t define ability.
She’s intelligent, well-mannered, and knows her basic commands (sit, stay, paw, come). One of her proudest milestones? Sitting comfortably again after surgery—and she knows it’s a big deal.

At home, Maisie loves being near her people. She enjoys a cozy “safe spot,” keeping watch from the window, and likes feeling included without needing constant attention. She’s most active in the mornings and early evenings, when she’s happy to cuddle, play, or enjoy enrichment.
While she was initially reserved in new environments, Maisie has blossomed into a dog who enjoys meeting people and forming strong bonds. She thrives on routine and communicates clearly—often with a gentle whine when she’s asking for something—then settles easily once her needs are met.
Fun & Favorites
• “Find it” games
• Snuffle mats & kibble balls
• Car rides—she’s convinced every driveway arrival is for her
A Note on Barking
Maisie is generally quiet indoors but may vocalize when cars or people approach the house. Cars are exciting (she wants to go for a drive!), while visitors can make her unsure. With reassurance and consistency, she continues to improve.
Ideal Home
Maisie would do best in a calm, predictable home with a steady routine and respectful visitors. She does well with polite dogs given proper introductions and prefers low-key companions over pushy playmates.
Why Adopt a Senior Like Maisie?
Maisie already knows how to be a wonderful companion. She understands home life, respects boundaries, and brings a sense of calm that only comes with age. Seniors like her trade chaos for connection—offering quiet companionship, loyalty, and deep appreciation for the love they’re given.
After everything she’s overcome, Maisie is ready for a soft place to land and a family who will cherish her golden years. Senior dogs don’t love less—they love deeper.
