✅Calm dogs & cats. Marley is not a fan of playing with other dogs and will try to leave the situation. He would do best as an only pet.
Medical: Prone to ear infections. His ears should be cleaned regularly. Marley takes daily medications to help with his allergies & separation anxiety.
Energy Level: Medium, and needs a lot of mental stimulation, engagement with his people, and structure to stay happy and healthy.
Meet Marley!
Marley loves to be with his humans. This stunning boy is a smart, curious dog and would do best in a calm environment where he is both physically and mentally stimulated. He would do great in a home with a fenced yard that he can play and explore in. Marley would also do well without a fenced backyard as long as his adopters enjoy going on leisurely walks around the neighborhood. Marley has excellent leash skills unless he is spooked by something. He is quite strong so an owner should use appropriate walking tools to manage him.
Marley is dog friendly but is happiest with his humans. A multi-person household (or person who is home more often than not) who will make him the centre of attention.
Marley is such a sweet boy, and everyone who meets him falls in love with him. He’s learning how to be an anxiety-free dog and requires a little extra patience and love. He is currently doing better not crated when his fosters are out, so his adopters should have a safe place for him to stay in while left alone for a short period of time.
Marley is still learning about dog toys and currently uses them as pillows instead of things to play with. He does like to play with his humans and is learning not to use his mouth during play.
