Meet Mia!
Mia is a wonderful dog! She’s incredibly loving, smart, learns quickly, and thrives on praise.
She is very affectionate and thrives on human connection. She is looking for a family who enjoys including their dog in their adventures and day to day activities. She craves human attention, and just wants to be with her people. If you’re able to work from home, she’s happy to sit by your feet, and she loves to lounge beside you on the couch in the evening.
She’s often excited to meet other dogs, and plays really well with “goofballs” as well as calmer respectful dogs. Mia would be a great canicross partner since she loves both running and pulling!
Crate training is a work in progress. Mia will sometimes go in her crate on her own or when told to do so, but does not like to be crated when left alone. She has severe separation anxiety and needs an adopter who is committed to working on this with her. She would benefit from having another dog sibling in the home to show her that she’s safe and that her humans will always come home. She is also working on not jumping up on people to greet them.
