Meet Rayan the Gentle Bear!
Rayan is a big-hearted boy with a gentle soul. This sweet, fluffy bear has a calm, loving nature and a quiet demeanour that draws everyone in. Despite being partially blind and completely deaf, Rayan navigates the world with confidence, curiosity, and a tail that never stops wagging.
Rayan is polite and social — when he spots a person or another dog, he often lies down to show he’s friendly and waits for them to come say hello. He loves to play with other dogs, whether it’s a game of chase or wrestle. Rayan doesn’t let his disabilities hold him back!
He’s learning to walk on leash, and while he sometimes gets a little excited and spins in circles, he’s improving every day. On familiar paths, he walks beautifully, especially with a calm, guiding hand.
When he’s happy or ready to play, Rayan flops right over onto the ground, letting you know he’s up for some fun. He also loves to gently lean in for pets and cuddles, soaking up every bit of affection he can get.
Rayan loves his crate; he eats his meals there and treats it as his cozy safe space. He is extremely food motivated making him easy to train.
Rayan loves people so much that he has a habit of nibbling when he’s being petted. It’s all in the name of love but something his adopters should continue to work on.
Rayan would thrive in a patient and loving home that understands his special needs. A quieter environment without very young children would be best so he doesn’t bump into them. Rayan would love a home where his people can give him gentle guidance, consistency, and plenty of affection.
