Meet Shelby! This sweet, sassy chonk is now ready for her forever home. Originally brought into a veterinary office for euthanasia after the death of her owner, Miss Shelby is gaining a new lease on life.

Despite her age and size, Shelby still loves to play with her toys (the more crinkle to them, the better) & “fight” with her dog bed (the most adorable thing ever). She is surprisingly agile with stairs but should live in an environment in which they are limited.

Miss Shelby currently goes on short, slow 15 minute walks. Walks should be slowly increased and taken at her pace to account for her age and probably sore joints. She does take supplements and pain meds to assist her movement. She’s already lost 5lbs in a short time.

Shelby is not crate trained due to her size but is non-destructive when left alone. She does, however, vocalize her displeasure with her foster leaving her behind so no apartment living for this gal.

If you can be completely committed to her weight loss journey and love a sweet, sassy senior – Shelby is definitely the gal for you!
