Meet Shrimp! Originally from Manitoba, she is now ready for her forever home. Shrimp is very social and loves greeting her fosters from her crate when they come home.

Shrimp is mostly quiet during the day, until she gets in a certain playful mood. She love scratches (especially under her collar) and rubs, but so far is not the most cuddly dog. Shrimp doesn’t love the bath but will tolerate it. She sits fine for being brushed and doesn’t mind having her paws touched.

Shrimp loves playing with the other dog in the home and would love a playmate in her forever home. She is learning about boundaries involving toys and treats.

Shrimp is smart and picking up on tricks and commands quickly – she recently learned “paw” after just a couple of days and now waits patiently (until she gets an “okay”) before she eats her food. Shrimp knows her daily routine quite well and will wait by her bowl when it’s nearing dinner/breakfast. Shrimp is still learning to be gentle with taking treats and is improving. She has been in a few car rides – she falls asleep, but can need a little time to settle and likes to be comforted. She really likes food games (we have a food puzzle she likes to use).

Shrimp’s forever family must have the time and energy to train a puppy. Puppy obedience classes are highly recommended. Trainer recommendations can be provided by the rescue.
