Hi, I’m Théo! I’m a gentle, calm, and incredibly loving gentleman with a huge heart and so much sweetness to offer. And at “just” ten years old, I still have plenty of joy and silliness in me.
When you come home, I’ll greet you with a soft wag, a gentle hello, and my big curious eyes. I love being near my people. Inside the house, I’m a low-energy nap king. I adore sleeping in sunbeams, relaxing on the balcony, and drifting off to gentle jazz while you do your thing. When I sleep, my legs often run because I’m dreaming about adventures.
I love my cozy crate and sleep there every night. I enjoy my meals and special treats there because I can be a bit protective of these high value items; I would love someone who respects my boundaries around this.
I’m a curious boy who loves to explore. I boop doors, furniture, windows, and people just to investigate. I’m also a big fan of squeaky toys! If you squeak one, my ears perk straight up, my tail starts wagging, and I get so excited I clack my teeth together before zooming off to chase it. Sometimes I bring it right back, sometimes I stash it somewhere safe, and sometimes I just sit and give it a loving lick.
Once I’m outside, I love to run! I’m great on walks and often check in just to make sure we’re good. I can be a little reserved with new people and prefer slow, gentle introductions. I’m generally good with slow introductions to other calm respectful dogs too, but I’d rather be your one and only at home. Oh, and I LOVE car rides!
If you ask me what my dream home looks like, I’d say wherever you are. I’d love a country home or a quiet neighbourhood, but I’m also getting pretty used to city life. I do love my peace and quiet, so I’d prefer a home without young children.
Once I warm up to you, it’s well worth the wait. I bond deeply with my people and would love nothing more than to be your loyal best friend.
